It is with equal parts of excitement and sadness that I announce the end of the official Awana year. Let's face it...we all need a break from the intensity of Awana, but Wednesdays sure do seem empty for a couple of weeks. Til a million other things fill up those two hours.
We had an awesome Award Ceremony the end of April to recognize the Clubs and Crew. Each Club presented a little something to show what sorts of things they've been doing each week.
This is Tyler's Club, T&T Boys.
In his Club, each boy recited a memory verse of his choice.
This is our amazing Trek Club. You should know that we have one of the largest Trek Clubs in the STATE. Yes, that is very cool.
In Trek, they performed a skit. Nick was cast as the 'cool guy.' Hmmm...no typecasting there.
The audience was held in rapt attention as each Club performed at their best. (Yes, Mr. Tim is out of uniform. Yes, that is a serious Awana violation, and yes, he will be dealt with swiftly and mercilessly.)
It was a wonderful program to cap off a great year! Now onto summer to relax and refresh...and prepare for another Awana year!
